Global March Against Child Labour - From Exploitation to Education

STAND UP against poverty and for education rights now!

In just a few days time the world will STAND UP and SPEAK OUT against poverty - will you be part of it? Here are a few things you can do now to take part:

1. Find an event near you or create an event - www.standagainstpoverty.org
2. Join the STAND UP group on Facebook or another network
3. Watch the STAND UP video and put it onto your website - watch the video
4. Forward this email to 5 friends.

When you STAND UP you will SPEAK OUT against poverty, and for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. More than 90 countries already missed the Millennium Development Goal of getting an equal number of girls and boys into school in 2005. We will not wait in silence for this to happen with the remaining MDGs - including getting all children a primary education by 2015.

Last year over 23 million took part in STAND UP AGAINST POVERTY. Once again this year schools, community groups, unions, students and activists around the world will be STANDING UP in an attempt to challenge last years' world record. Participants have been asked to register for the Guinness challenge in the 24-hour period from 9pm GMT on October 16th to 9pm GMT on October 17th. For more information on Stand Up and Speak Out visit www.standagainstpoverty.org.

Best Wishes,
